The motivation

Dubito ergo cogito, cogito ergo sum

Descartes was born and formulated this motto by René Descartes. in our college COGITO science club. It proposes an inter- and transdisciplinary approach to some fundamental themes in human knowledge: pigments in the living world, sound and its multiple applications, electrical potentials at the level of living and non-living membranes, etc.

Clubul reuneÈ™te 32 de elevi din high school classes, mostly from the real profile but also from the humanistic profile. What brings students to the club year after year is the special interest in knowledge, above the school programs of physics, chemistry, biology. They are encouraged to ask questions and seek answers. They are guided, in this pursuit of knowledge, by teachers of physics, chemistry,  biology, but the topics covered also lead them to fine arts, music and literature.

_cc781905-5cde-3194 -bb3b-136bad5cf58d_Beyond the training of scientific investigation skills, the club facilitates the development of communication, debating, argumentation and raising the cultural, aesthetic and emotional level of students. Members of the 11th and 12th grades become role models and challenge their peers in the freshman grades. Friendships and perhaps secret teenage loves are formed.

De pe platforma clubului pleacă , year after year, inquisitive minds towards prestigious universities in Romania and other European countries.
